Club members got together on the morning of January 26 for a free ground school session from club CFIs Matthew Macaluso and Dave Chapdelaine. Matthew started off by discussing requirements for entering all the various airspaces, with a focus on the FAA'S ADS-B mandate that took effect in 2020. Then, armed with simulated Garmin GNX 375's on their iPads, Dave walked the students through all the various menus, features, and settings of the brand new GPS avionics that will be shortly available in two club aircraft – N5126V and N7091G.

The banquet was held at the USS Chowder Pot IV in Hartford, Connecticut.
